The Club

The Beech Mountain Club is a private, social club located on beautiful Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Over 1,600 member families enjoy cool summer temperatures, outstanding amenities, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, winter sports opportunities and the services of a professional staff dedicated to providing our members with all the activities and programs you would expect at a mountain retreat. Take some time to explore this high-country paradise.

The main Clubhouse at the Beech Mountain Club overlooks the 10th and 14th holes of the Club’s golf course, with views to the northeast and into the mountain ranges of northeastern Tennessee and southern Virginia. Spring season brings the blue hue of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and along with this lakes and waterways create cloud filled valleys making the mountain tops appear like islands in the sky.

During the summer, evening sunsets shade the view side of the Clubhouse keeping the covered and open deck areas cool enough that you’ll want to wear a sweater. As clouds float by and shade the mountain ridges, you’ll leave stress and worry far behind. Fall vistas are spectacular with brilliant leaf colors arriving in early September and lasting well into October.

The Clubhouse is the main dining location for members of the Beech Mountain Club, and has a bar on both the main and lower levels. The lower level of the Clubhouse also functions as multi-use space for various card games and private functions.

Beech Mountain Club’s spectacular 18-hole, ridge-top golf course boasts magnificent views of mountain ranges in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Originally designed by Willard Byrd, the course has undergone a renovation over the last 10 years using a master plan developed by noted Golf Course Architect, Tom Jackson, providing several sets of tees and new greens complexes while extending the course to 6,250 yards in length.

The course ranges over elevations between 4,200 and 4,700 feet, so the average summer temperature rarely exceeds 79 degrees.

The golf course is open seven days a week from May through October. There are seasonal rates for members, in addition to daily fees for members and their guests. Access to the course is available for non-members through rental of qualified lodging.

With 10 Har-Tru composition clay courts, stadium seating for over 100 spectators and a recently renovated Pro-Shop–the Beech Mountain Club has one of the High Country’s premier tennis facilities. And that’s just the beginning.

USTPA professionals are on hand daily to help members develop their skills through private lessons, clinics and camps for all ages. Round-robins, inter-club competitions, pro-challenges and family play are just a few of the ways our members enjoy hitting the courts May through October.

Pickleball

Pickleball

The Beech Mountain Club Pickleball Center has 5 beautiful new courts located at the heart of the Club’s recreation campus. Deck seating and a convenient sports café overlook the courts along with a covered pavilion for social events. USAPA Pickleball Ambassadors direct the Club’s program during the summer which includes private lessons, clinics, league and tournament play, as well as special sessions throughout the week.

Paddles are available for rent and for sale along with the latest in Pickleball attire through the Pickleball Center Office/Shop. The Beech Mountain Club has been at the forefront of promoting this fast-growing sport in the high-country area.

Dining

The Beech Mountain Club’s Clubhouse opens in May on Mother’s Day to serve Mother’s Day Brunch. From Mother’s Day until Memorial Day weekend, the Clubhouse is open to serve dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The Clubhouse Dining Room hosts many Member Socials, Events and Sponsored functions throughout the season which often replace the regular dinner schedule; therefore reservations are recommended by calling 828-387-4747.

There are two bars in the Clubhouse each adjacent to an open air deck for taking in the amazing long range views. Bar service in the Clubhouse is available after 3 PM on the days the Clubhouse is open and serving dinner.

The Beech Mountain Club serves lunch from the Fairway Café which is an open air dining venue adjacent to the first tee of the Club’s golf course. The Fairway Café opens in May on Mother’s Day weekend and stays open daily in conjunction with the golf course schedule well into October. The menu consists of sandwiches and soups along with snacks and beverages. All are welcome to dine at the Fairway Café whether or not you are playing golf.

The third dining option, The Dock, is available on weekends and holidays at the pool adjacent to the pickleball courts. The menu at The Dock is similar to that of the Fairway Café, but with some additional items geared toward our youngest members.
